The Sales Funnel For Effective Online Marketing

Apr 26

Since ancient times sales funnels have always been a part of marketing and traditional business. I've observed that funnels designed for Internet businesses are becoming more popular.

Truth is, people are eager to know more about this marketing strategy and the best way to implement it in their online marketing campaigns. Continue reading if you want to learn more on the sales funnel to ensure Internet marketing success.

The Sales Funnel: What is it?

A marketing funnel isn't an actual funnel. For this marketing concept, "funnel", is used to visualize and explain the entire sales process. The funnel provides a clear comparison because it permits potential customers to be "Unqualified potential customers" on the top, and narrower chances for conversions to sales at the lower levels.

The "unqualified prospects", also called people who are not qualified, will be at the top of the funnel. They might require your product or service but have never been approached prior to. After a series of sales calls and offers, you have reached people who have bought your product or services.

Another reason why a lead-generation funnel concept is effective is the fact it lets you track potential prospects at different levels of the sales process. With the sales funnel, by figuring out the quantity of qualified prospects throughout the process, it's possible to predict the amount of prospective customers who'll, after a while, become actual customers.

A sales funnel will allow you to see exactly what and where your sales process is failing or succeeding or failing, or if your marketing campaign isn't attracting a sufficient amount of prospective customers somewhere within the process. This information helps you choose where to put your effort to make sure that sales are at the correct level and that you are meeting your marketing goals. It can be used to manage and gauge the sales process of your customers.

The Front - End or the Sales Funnel The top

The most important part of your sales funnel will require the most constant testing and be the most engaged. There are literally no end of front-end ideas. Your imagination and your resources are your only limits.

The primary goal of the front- end will be to pull potential customers in and turn them into buyers later in the sales process.

If a potential customer opts in or subscribes to something you offer and is "qualified". This is the point of the sales funnel at which the potential client or "Unqualified prospect" is a qualified lead due to the actions they've taken that show that they are sufficiently interested to buy your product.

To make your front-end effective, you need to direct targeted traffic to your website, blog or squeeze page blog. PPC advertisements articles, banners, article marketing, PPC advertisements, social media (Google+ Twitter Facebook YouTube), YouTube banners, blog posts forums, and other resources are among the most efficient methods and resources.

There are a variety of methods that you can use to "qualify prospects who aren't qualified". One of the most effective ways to qualify prospects is by creating an online squeeze page. This allows you offer something of value related to your product that people can get for free, or at a significantly reduced price in exchange for their name and email. Products offered include newsletters as well video, eBooks, email courses and related reports.

The front-end of your sales funnel is the point where prospects are attracted to you. What about the back-end?

The Bottom or Back-End of the Funnel

The back-end or bottom of the funnel where main sales and profits are generated. You will usually find the more expensive products in this area. They are all suitable for the same audience, but they are delivered in different formats, such as audio, video and live interactions.

The main difference between front-end and the back-end is the kind of client, and also the price of the service or product being offered.

While it's the case that only 1% of those who enter your front-end will be able connect to your back-end system, this small percentage may not matter. This is fine, as this small group will be investing much more in the long run.

Although front-end products and services may be less expensive than $100, back-end services and products are usually priced in the hundreds or thousands. This means that the bottom of the sales channel, which is also known as the back-end is the primary source of income.

The sales funnel can be as complex or simple as you would like it to be, as long as you have the right resources and creativity.
